The group has 30 Heat Merchants branches and 12 Tubs & Tiles showrooms supported by a central warehouse and distribution hub based in Athlone. The Group’s business support services and technical design hub are based in offices in Athlone and Balbriggan.

Heat Merchants Group are currently recruiting for a Pricing Specialist to join the Pricing Department at their Business Support Office in Athlone, Co Westmeath.

Overall purpose of role:

The post holder will be responsible for ensuring the correct product and pricing data is applied to the products and will assists and support Procurement and other sectors of the business with Product, Pricing and Margin initiatives.


JOB SPECIFICATION

  • Set up, Update and maintain the product file (on internal ERP system)
  • Implement Pricing changes, track results, highlight issues and modify strategies as needed
  • Participate in improvement projects relating to product and product group set ups, recalculating product costs, recalculating brochure pricing etc.
  • Maintaining customer pricing and identifying and recalculating any issues with customers’ termed pricing
  • Working with cross functional teams to identify and remedy all product, Pricing and margin issues.
  • Address queries in a timely and professional manner
  • Sending weekly and monthly scheduled sales analysis reports to our branches highlighting margin changes and providing any unscheduled reports as required
  • Providing essential data analysis to various sectors of the business
  • Adherence to health, safety and environmental rules and regulations
  • Any other duties as reasonably requested by management

PERSON SPECIFICATION

The following criteria will be used in the selection process. Only those applicants who clearly meet the essential criteria from their application will be shortlisted for interview. The Company reserves the right to initially shortlist those candidates who meet both essential and desirable criteria.

Essential

  • A minimum of 2 years recent relevant work experience gained in similar role.
  • Intermediate user of Excel (Pivot tables, lookups, calculation Formulas etc) and experience in using Excel for reporting and analysis purposes.
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Analytical and logical thinker, to provide problem solving solutions
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently when required
  • Must be able to multi-task and be comfortable to adapt to changes in workload with short notice.
  • Excellent communication and time management skills
  • Must be Solution oriented

Desirable

  • 3rd level Business or Finance Qualification
  • Advanced user of Excel
  • Product knowledge in areas such as heating, plumbing, tile or sanitary ware
